Each Christmas morning several members of the Central Ridge-Crystal River Club start early in the morning preparing a full course turkey dinner for lonely residents living in the Beverly Hills area. They prepare and serve the meal until 2pm.

This year they received a check for $1,000 from the sister of Warren Buffet as an appreciative recipient wrote to the foundation and asked for the donation on behalf of the Kiwanis Club. Additionally the club received several warm kudos from the community. This is highlighted by a letter to the editor that appeared in the local newspaper: “Kiwanis, what an outstanding organization. They unselfishly help others across the nation, giving up dinner with family, receiving no pay to feed those who are alone on Christmas Day."

Passing on the spirit of Christmas by sharing, bringing smiles to people’s faces, because of caring. On this very special day we’re all family to them. The Kiwanis organization is a priceless gem. A delicious meal is cooked with lots of love. You would think they are angels from above. A better meal you wouldn’t find at any eatery spot. It’s just like mom used to make, served up hot.
