One month and
counting……… to one of the best opportunities you will have in a
number of years. The International Convention is going to be held
right here in Florida. Most of the people who will attend have
already registered, but there is still time. Kiwanis International
Convention gives me a time to reflect on what a great impact we are
making around the world. Imagine a few men in Detroit contemplating
this organization we call Kiwanis. Then in 1924, the permanent
objects that gave us a complete identity were adopted. DO NOT

MONTHS AND COUNTING………. to the Florida District Convention.
Jacksonville will be a great venue and the convention will be fun,
fun. On Friday we will have not one, but two energetic and funny
speakers. Becky Baker, a teacher, a model, A Key Club advisor and
motivator will help us discover humor in our lives. She will speak
on Friday at Lunch with an uplifting and funny presentation about
the “Bratas” in our lives. On Friday night, Dennis Swanberg, the
“Minister of Encouragement” will encourage us through the use of
humor. Take it from my personal experience, the “Swan will make you
laugh and laugh. He is a humorist, impersonator and storyteller. He
might even ask you to “Hug Your Momma!”
Hotel
registration deadline for Jacksonville is July 20th and
the convention registration fee goes up on August 1st. Do
not wait. It is gonna be fun. This year the education will be better
