The Foundation was chartered as a non-profit corporation on April 27, 1971 under the laws of the State of Florida. The Foundation was recognized on June 30, 1971 as a non-profit charitable organization by the United States Department of Revenue under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code
