I hope you are making plans to attend our District Convention in August.  Come join friends from around the district for our weekend “Celebration of Making a Difference”. 
 

Past International President Steve Siemens had paraphrased a familiar Shakespeare quote, “To be or not to be, that is the question” with “To go or not to go, that is the question?”    The answer is easy.  Yes I will go!  To make going the best it can be, think of the following. 

     
    C onsider conventions as an opportunity to grow learn and fellowship.
    O ffer to help pay the expense for delegates and participants from your club’s budget.
    N etwork with friends from all over the district for a great experience.
    V isualize the successful results of your service projects and efforts through the exhibits, workshops, and general sessions.
    E ncourage every new member of your club to attend district events.
    N ab all the materials and handouts from workshop sessions and exhibits to bring back to your club. 
    T ake time to play and have fun.
    I ntroduce yourself to the officers, staff, and other Kiwanians you meet.
    O rganize the information after the convention and share it with your club members. 
    N ever ---not be represented.  Never!

 

The clubs that make conventions, training, and special events a priority are clubs that are healthier than clubs who don’t make it a priority.  One of the best things you club can do this year is to plan to attend.
